How To Get the Lowest Car Insurance Premium
Fortunately, there are some things drivers can do to lower their premiums without giving up the coverage they need to keep them safe and legal behind the wheel. Driving without car insurance is risky business, and you simply cannot afford to go without this vital protection.
Assess the Situation
The first thing you need to do is assess the situation and get to the root cause of your high premiums. Once you know what is causing your premiums to rise, you can look for companies that can best serve your needs. If your premiums are high because of an accident in your past, look for a company that provides lower premiums after you have remained accident free for a period of months. This gives you a chance to prove to the insurance company that you have learned from your mistakes, and allows you to reap the rewards of that good behavior.
If your high premiums stem from your age and inexperience, look for a company that provides discounts for a defensive driving course or additional training. You can probably save enough on premiums to pay for those courses, especially if your local school or community agency provides these types of courses.
The Impact of Credit
If you cannot figure out why your premiums keep going up, you might want to give your credit report a quick perusal. A surprising number of car insurers take your credit score into account when they set your rates, and if your credit is less than perfect you could find yourself paying more, even if you are a safe driver.
If your less than stellar credit history is the reason for your high rates, that is easy enough to rectify. Not all car insurance companies consider your credit report when setting rates, and finding a company that bases your rates on how well you drive can save you a lot of money.
Shop Around
Simply shopping around for the coverage you need can save you a great deal of money as well. When it comes to car insurance, you do not have to limit yourself to the companies listed in your local phone book or those that advertise on your local television station. Instead you can turn to the Internet for a more comprehensive list of companies, and you can easily request a rate quote from each of those companies in a matter of minutes.
By using an online car insurance comparison tool, you can enter your personal information a single time and get dozens of quotes for the coverage you need. Once you have those car insurance quotes, you can use them to find the best possible coverage at the lowest possible price. Depending on your needs, this can provide you with savings of hundreds of dollars a year or more, letting you keep more money in your pocket without sacrificing the coverage and protection you need behind the wheel.

Windows Vista Home Premium secpol.msc.... I cant figure out how to use this properly. Getting annoyed.?
I am getting annoyed at Vista asking me to Allow or Cancel a program that I double click on. It does it with almost everything. I looked up how to put programs to an "Always Allow" list or something and in all the help files it says run secpol.msc from the Run command. I did that and the file cannot be found. Anyone know how I can stop making Vista ask me if I want to run a program I just clicked on without turning off the entire User Account Control?
Turning off the UAC completely isn't a bad thing. As long as you know what you're doing on your computer, and you sound like you do, turning it off completely will be just fine.
To access the secpol, go into your Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Local Security Policy. On the left, navigate to Local Policies, Security Options and you'll see all the UAC options at the bottom. HOWEVER, make a note of any changes you make.
Hope this helps.
